      Hi!

I think engineering does get hot sometimes :). Especially, when you deal with thermal control of a spacecraft. The radiation is transmitted into the spacecraft and it has nowhere to go and it warms the spacecraft to dangerous temperatures.

As a spacecraft travels around the Earth its ‘facing’ the Earth and its ‘back’ is directed towards an empty space (around -230degC) and the energy will dissipate to there.

      I hope this helps 🙂
