It has got to be providing enough power to meet the ever increasing demands of the emerging world economies. Without massive investment and increases in knowledge in things like fusion we are going to be short of energy by 2037.

The biggest challenge will be power. We are running out of resources and the power for cars such as oil is also running out. We will all switch to electrical transport at some point, but this will be necessary as electrical power is easier to obtain than currently most used resources.

As humans we are advancing in technology, and medicine so there will not be too much of limitation on this side. Therefore, power is the problem.
